Agreement
By downloading, accessing, or using SafePing (the “App”) and related services (together, the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Use (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
What SafePing Does
SafePing helps you set a daily check-in schedule and (if you miss a check-in) sends an email notification to a trusted emergency contact you choose.
Not Emergency Services
SafePing is not a medical device and does not contact emergency services (911/112). Do not rely on SafePing for emergency response, medical monitoring, or life-critical situations. If you need urgent help, contact local emergency services immediately.
Your Responsibilities
- You are responsible for setting an appropriate deadline and grace period.
- You are responsible for selecting a trusted emergency contact and ensuring their email address is correct.
- You agree not to use the Service for unlawful, abusive, or harmful purposes.
Emergency Contact Consent
Your emergency contact will receive an email asking them to accept or decline being your contact. Alerts are only sent after they accept (verification). If they decline, you must choose another contact to use the alert feature.
Availability and Changes
We aim to keep the Service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service at any time.
Third-Party Services
SafePing uses third-party providers (such as Supabase for backend infrastructure and Resend for email delivery) to operate the Service. These providers process only the information needed to provide the Service.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SafePing and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service.
You understand that email delivery can be delayed, filtered, or fail due to third-party systems outside of our control (e.g., spam filters, outages).
Termination
You can stop using the Service at any time. You can also delete your data from within the app (Settings > Delete All Data), which removes your device registration, contact information, and history from our servers.
